The Onsite Wastewater Management of Manitoba (MOWMA) is a not-for-profit organization with a mandate to support its member authorized persons in providing safe and effective wastewater management for landowners. We do this by delivering in-class and field training opportunities for onsite practitioners, providing networking and learning opportunities for industry stakeholders, forging positive relationships with local and provincial regulators, and educating the public.

MOWMA has their annual Education Days are coming up April 8th, 2026 in Brandon and April 10th, 2026 in Winnipeg.  Below is a link to register for their Education Days.

 Bill 21

The Drinking Water Safety Amendment Act, has been posted to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba website. This represents the first substantive update to Manitoba’s drinking water safety legislation since its inception over 20 years ago.

 

You can view the draft bill at https://web2.gov.mb.ca/bills/43-3/b021e.php and have the opportunity to provide direct input into the government’s law-making process by presenting an oral or written submission concerning Bill 21 at an upcoming standing committee meeting.
