The MWWA is seeking your assistance in a fact finding mission to help us in developing an Operator Toolkit.  A free tour and lunch is being offered to those interested in helping the MWWA develop an online tool for operators and facility owners.

In cooperation with MB Environment and Climate Change and the Manitoba Environmental Industries Association (MEIA) the MWWA will be developing an online tool to assist owners, certified operators and and those interested in becoming a certified operator, in navigating the operator certification processes.  The Toolkit is intended to provide easy access to information that both owners and operators need to obtain and retain certification and to comply with current regulations.

To aid us in developing the toolkit, the MWWA and its partners are asking Owners and Operators to join us for a tour of the Water Treatment Plant and Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant in Selkirk and attend a fact finding session. After the tour, the MWWA and its partners will be providing a free lunch to all in attendance. There is no cost to attend the event but we expect everyone attending to participate in the collection of ideas for the toolkit. During and after the lunch, members of the MWWA committee hope to meet with everyone in attendance to discuss:

  • what tools they would hope to see in an Operator Toolkit
  • what are the major stumbling blocks that they have encountered with the Certification process.
  • what information they have difficulty in obtaining
  • what information they would like readily available to them
  • any suggestions that will aid them in the certification processes
Please note we are not looking for issues with the Certification program we are looking for information on how to make the certification program easier to navigate for everyone.
