Class Format
Virtual classes are offered in real time with a live instructor. When you are part of a virtual class, your instructor is able to provide the interactive classroom experience from your own computer. You can participate in discussions, test your knowledge and ask questions, just like in a regular classroom. These classes run similarly to a live class and are a great option for those people interested in completing their training in a typical timeframe.
Learning Objectives
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Measure and transpose scaled info to field, apply aerial angles
- Read and check grade.
- Review use of survey equipment including builder’s level, smart level, grade laser, hand levels, laser levels, range finder
- Use eng drawings to ensure construction to specifications
- Interpret drawings to work safely around other underground and overhead utilities.
- Analyze discrepancies between the drawing and the field
- Accurately record as built information
Who Should Attend
You should take this course if you are:
- Operators, supervisors, and technical support staff engaged in all aspects of utility construction operation and maintenance;
- Interested in learning more, or entering a role where you will be interpreting various engineering drawings and the proper use of engineering scales to measure various quantities
All attendees must have their own computer with audio and video capabilities to participate.
